From the SEAM Officer Board

Hello, SEAM members! Writing this while I watch the Superbowl; when you're reading this, we'll hopefully all be celebrating another Patriots ring added to the collection (sorry Seahawks fans, this SEAM president is decidedly a Patriots fan).
Monday morning edit: Meh.

We're at the end of our membership renewal drive. Hopefully everyone has renewed their membership or is finishing that up. We have a good year planned for 2026, we're trying to focus on a lot of in-person site visits for seminars and with officer elections later this year we should have some fresh faces (or some returning faces) to continue SEAMs mission of supporting and elevating the structural engineering profession in the State of Maine!

Coming up in a couple of months we will have two board positions opening up. If you have any interest or questions about serving on the board of the Structural Engineers Association of Maine, please contact us at [email protected].

As always, if you have any events or possible seminars, especially site visits and tours of unique structural engineering projects, please reach out to any of the SEAM officers.

We got plenty of cold days left but we're excitedly looking forward to the warm days of 2026!

SEAM Donation to Eric Cobb Scholarship Fund

In 2024 SEAM made our semi-regular contribution to the Eric Cobb Scholarship fund. SEAM will be making another donation to the Eric Cobb Scholarship at the start of 2026. We'll bring you news of the scholars awarded next year, and we hope to have them join us at an in-person SEAM event.
