SEAM November Meeting: Tour of Bath Iron Works

SEAM has arranged for a tour at Bath Iron Works. Bath Iron Works (BIW) is an internationally recognized leader in the shipbuilding industry, currently building the most advanced surface combatant ships in the world. This tour includes both a tour of the shipyard and a tour of the recently christened Arleigh Burke Class Destroyer Rafael Peralta (DDG-115). Following the tour, a social time and dinner will be held at the Kennebec Tavern. Dinner will be buffet style.

As this is a high security facility and an operational shipyard, the following is required:

  • Note the RSVP date below. Names of those registered for the tour will be given to BIW in advance and they may run basic background checks. No late requests will be accepted.
  • Tour is open to American citizens only.
  • All registrants must present a valid photo ID for entry to the facility.
  • Steel toed shoes are required.
