Brad Fletcher, SE
Brad Fletcher, SE, is the senior sales engineer at Atlas Tube. In this role his 24 years of experience in engineering design and the steel industry to provide technical expertise on the use of steel hollow structural sections (HSS) and pipe piling products to design engineers, detailers, fabricators and architects.
A registered structural engineer in the state of Illinois, Brad has held senior positions at leading architectural and engineering firms, Skidmore, Owings & Merrill; Sargent & Lundy; and Halvorson and Partners. For the past eight years, most recently while working at Tata Steel (formerly known as Corus) and now with Atlas Tube, Brad has focused his efforts on serving as a liaison between structural designers and the steel industry.

SEAM will be hosting a seminar to be put on by Mr. Jason Donovan, an attorney at Thompson & Bowie, LLP specializing in professional liability. The presentation will run approximately one hour and will focus on pitfalls associated with engineering contracts.

Jason joined Thompson & Bowie, LLP as an associate in 2007 and practices primarily in the areas of professional liability, civil rights and municipal liability and insurance counseling services. Prior to attending law school, Jason enjoyed a career in financial regulation with NASD Regulation, Inc. (now known as FINRA— the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority).
Jason earned his J.D. from the University of Maine School of Law and was the recipient of the Pro Bono Publico Award for significant pro bono legal service during his law school career. While attending Maine Law, Jason served as an extern within the Maine Office of Securities. Prior to joining Thompson and Bowie, LLP, Jason completed a clerkship with the Honorable Howard H. Dana, Jr. (Ret.) and Honorable Andrew M. Mead of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court.
Jason is a graduate of Loyola University in Maryland, where he earned a B.A., cum laude, in Business Administration and was awarded the 1990 Academic Achievement in Business Award. Jason enjoys golfing, basketball and studying early American history.

SEAM has arranged for a tour at James A. McBrady, Inc. A full tour of the fabrication floor will be given, from hardware and production to paint to miscellaneous metals. Founded in 1951, McBrady has been fabricating metal products for over 50 years. Following the tour, we will go to the Sebago Brewing Company. James McBrady will give a presentation on efficiency tips during the design process to reduce cost and lead time. There will also be a social time and buffet dinner.
