The Structural Engineers Association of Maine (SEAM) will host a
Special Inspections Forum Discussion on Tuesday, November 18,
2008. Curious how others are dealing with Chapter 17 of the
International Building Code? Do you have questions about
Special Inspections that you would like to discuss with other
professionals in the construction field? This is your
opportunity to discuss Special Inspections in a moderated
forum. The forum will feature a panel of respondents who will
discuss questions presented by the moderator in a “20 questions” style
format. As the panel responds, anyone else is invited to add
comment. Questions and comments from audience will also be
discussed. The intent is to have an open, informal discussion
on Special Inspections. The SEAM Board invites all
professional in the construction industry to join in the discussion,
including (but not limited to) engineers, testing personnel, owners,
building code officials, contractors, fabricators and
architects. If you are interested in participating on the
